비강내 기원한 과잉치 1례

Supernumerary tooth present in nasal cavity, Which is usually the mesiodens, occurs singly or paired between the maxillary central incisors. Nasal tooth (ectopic tooth) is a rare eruption of supernumerary tooth into the floor of the nasal cavity. Besides the nasal cavity, other unusual different sites may be maxillary third molar, maxillary sinus, palate, mandibular condyle, coronoid process, orbital cavity, and facial skin. Although symptom is usually lacking, nasal tooth can present nasal obstruction, headache, cacosmia, epistaxis, purulent rhinorrhea, nasal discomfort, and facial pain. We report a case of superumerary tooth which was present between the left nasal septum and floor and extirpated. (J Clinical Otolaryngol 2003;14:141-143)
