요약

만성중이염이나 진주종의 수술에서 유양동의 병변을 제거하는 방법은 크게 개방공동법과 폐쇄공동법 유양동 삭개술으로 나눌 수 있다. 폐쇄공동법 유양동 삭개술은 정상 형태의 외이도를 유지할 수 있어 유양동 공동문제 (cavity problem)가 없고 술 후 통원 치료기간이 짧고 보청기 장착이 용이하지만 개방공동법에 비해 수술부위 노출이 작아 진주종의 제거가 힘든 경우가 많고 이관의 기능 장애가 있는 경우 술 후 함몰낭(retraction pocket) 이 형성되어 재발이 많은 단점이 있다. 개방공동법 유양 동 삭개술은 수술 시야의 확보로 인한 술법의 용이함과 병소의 완전한 제거가 가능하지만 술 후 가피 형성, 분비 물 축적, 지속적 이루, 미로 자극 등의 cavity problem 뿐만 아니라 술 후 통원치료 기간이 길어지는 등의 단점이 있다.
