요약

스테로이드제제는 임상영역에서 가장 광범 위하고 많이 사용되고 있는 약물이다. 그러나 이러한 스테로이드제는 많은 이점을 가지고 있는 반면에 또한 많은 심각한 부작용이 동반 된다. 사용시에는 항상 투여의 필요성을 먼저 신중히 고려하여 결정한 후 적절한 투여시기와 투여방법 및 다른 보조적인 치료방법을 선택 하여 부작용은 최소화하고 치료효과는 최대화 시킬 수 있'도록: 하여야 한다. 스테로이드제는 이비인후과 영역에서 알레르기성 질환, 자가면 역질환, 염증성질환, 술후 조직의 부종 및 말기 악성 종양 둥에서 다양하게 사용되고 있으나, 실제 두경부 영역에서는 두경부 외과의의 임상 경험에 기초하여 주 치료제인 항생제，항암제 둥과 더불어 보조적으로 사용하는 경우가 많 다.
