ABSTRACT
The styloid process is developed from ossification of Reichert cartilage of second branchial arch. In this course, the styloid process can be elongated abnormally and several symptoms occur due to irritating adjacent tissues. In addition similar symptoms can occur by changing position of styloid process or adjoining structures. The elongated styloid process syndrome, Eagle’s syndrome, is relatively infrequent and passed over easily. We report our treatment experiences for two cases of elongated styloid processes which are palpated in both tonsillar fossa through intraoral approach.
