요약

부비동 내시경수술은 Messerklinger가 이룩 한 비강과 부비 동 점막의 점액 섬모운동(mu-cociliary transport)에 관한 연구에 기초를 두 고 있다. 부비등 점막의 대부분의 병변이 사골 세포(ethmoidal cell) 특히 ostiomeatal unit의 전방부(anterior part) 에서 발생한다는 사실과 부비 등 점 막의 병 변은 대 개 가역 적 (reversible) 이어서 부비등의 자연공(ostium)을 통한 중분한 배액 (drainage)과 환기 (ventilation)로 정상점막으로 회복시킬 수 있기 때문에 병변을 가지고 있는 비강 및 부비등 점막은 가능한 한 그대로 둔다는데 근거를 두고 있다.
