비전정에서 발생한 신경초종 1예

Schwannoma was first reported by Verocay and is relatively a rare disease. It derives from the Schwann cells of the nerve sheath and can be found in any cranial, sympathetic and peripheral nerves except the olfactory and optic nerves. It occurres most frequently in the head and neck but rarely in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. The diagnosis is made by computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and confirmation by the his- topathological examination. We experience a case of Schwannoma arising from nasal vestibule and report successful results using endocscopic surgical treatment. (J Clinical Otolaryngol 2014;25:195–198)
