요약

치아 임플란트는 치아결손 환자에서 가장 효과적인 저작기능개선 방법으로 최근 노인인구의 증가와 더불 어 시술건수가 급격히 증가하여，국내에서 연간 50만건 이상이 시술되고 있다. 이에 따른 치과용 임플란트 산업 의 연간 생산량도 5,000억원에 이르고 있다 (2013 년 한국 보건산업진흥원). 치아 임플란트 시술을 하는 치과의사의 수가 1990년대 중반에 전체 치과의사의 2~3%에서 2008 년 현재 약 80%로 증가하였다(출처 : 오스템임플란트).
