ABSTRACT

Fungal sinusitis has become a clinically important condition and the prevalence has increased due to abuse of antibiotics, steroids and development of diagnostic technology. The increasing of fungal infections also suggest that may associated with other disease. Inverted papilloma is a benign tumor that has known propensity for recurrence and transformation to malignancy. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of inverted papilloma involving the maxillary sinus coexisting with aspergillosis in the nasal cavity. (J Clinical Otolaryngol 2012;23:266–269)
