요약

진주종성 중이염에 의한 안면마비나 미로누공은 합병증 중 가장 흔한 것으로 지난 30년간 보고된 국내문헌에 의 하면 미로누공의 경우 0.6~12.9%, 안면마비의 경우는 1.5~6.1%의 빈도를 보이고 있다.⁷⁾⁸⁾ 일반적으로 안면 마비를 동반하는 경우는 미로누공과 동반된 경우가 빈 번하여 해부학적으로 인접한 두 구조에 동반된 손상을 초래하여 기능의 보존과 회복을 어렵게 한다.
