요약

하인두에 발생하는 암종은 몇몇 타액선에서 기원하는 암종을 제외하고는 모두 편평세포암종이다. 하인두의 편 평세포암종은 상부 기도 및 상부 소화관에 발생하는 암 중 가장 예후가 불량하여 현재의 치료성적은 방법을 불 문하고 5년 생존율이 30% 내외에 그치고 있다. 그러므 로 치료 방법을 논하기 전에 예후가 이와 같이 불량한 이유는 무엇이며 하인두암종의 특성은 어떠한지를 아는 것이 순서로 생각된다.
