요약

후두협착은 치료가 매우 어려운 질환이나, 최근에 교 통사고의 증가와, 지속적인 호흡보조기의 사용으로 그 빈도가 증가하고 있다. 특히 소아의 경우에 있어서 선천 적인 후두협착이 있을 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 미숙아나 다 른 선천적 질환에 의해 호흡보조기를 사용하는 경우가 많아 그 발생 빈도가 증가추세에 있으므로 이비인후과 의사로서 소아의 후두협착에 대하여 병태생리 및 진단, 치료에 대한 이해가 필요하며, 예방과 조기진단 및 조기 에 적절한 치료를 행함으로써 환자의 생명뿐 아니라 삶 의 질을 향상시키기 위하여 노력해야 할 것이다
