요약

全難聽의 원인 중 유전이 그 원인으로 생 각되는 경우는 약 30%었로 추산된다. 이처럼 많 은 경우가 유전성 난청이라는 사실은 이비인 후과 의사들에게 매우 곤혹스런 사실이 아닐 수 없다. 왜냐하면 대개의 유전성 난청이 조기 발견 또는 치료가 어렵기 때문이다. 그러므로 유전성 난청을 줄일 가장 효과적인 방법은 예 방이라고 할 수 있다. 물론 예방을 위해서는 이비인후과 의사，유전학 전공 의사, 산부인과 의사, 소아과 의사 기타 모자보건 관리자 등의 긴밀한 협조 아래 난청에 대한 유전자를 갖고 있는 사람을 가려 내고 이들에 대해 유전 상담 둥의 예방조치를 해야 한다. 근친간의 결혼은 유전성 난청의 빈도를 높이므로 삼가야 한다.
