요약

1930년 Wever와 Bray®에 의해 음자극으로 내이의 전위가 발생한다는 보고가 있은 후 이 전 기 와우도 (Electrocochleography, ECoG) 는 많은 발전이 있었고，측정 기술이 다소 어려운 점이 있으나 임상적으로 많이 응용되고 있다. 특히 메니에르병을 비롯한 내임프수종, 외임파 루, 청신경종양 등의 진단과 치료, 난청의 진 단，수술시에 내이 기능의 monitoring 등에 사 용되고 있다.
