ABSTRACT

Parathyroid adenoma is a rare benign neoplasm, which can cause primary hyperparathyroidism. The excess of parathyroid hormone can result in metabolic complications such as hypercalcemia, demineralization of bones, renal calculi and pancreatitis.

We report a case of primary hyperparathyroidism due to the parathyroid adenoma in the patient with the pathologic fracture of the femur neck.
