ABSTRACT

The authors experienced a rare case of esophageal foreign body in a 41 year old female. She had inserted a long wooden stick for resolving indigestion. Then it had been broken at distal part and the swallowing difficulty had been happened. The long strip-like, well defined filling defect was showed in esophagography. Its filling defect was located from level of 7th thoracic vertebra to esophagogastric junction. Under the local anesthesia, we removed the esophageal foreign body under esophagoscopy without complication. Thus we report this case with review of literatures.
