ABSTRACT

Probosis—a trunklike appendage covered in skin and dimpled on the outer end droops from the medial canthal area is an unusual deformity. There may be coexistent maldevelopment of the nasal cavity, varing from a normal nose to complete agenesis of the nasal cavity and the paranasal sinuses.

We present a case of the proboscis which was combined with synophthalmia and alobar type of holoprosencephaly with a review of the literatures.
