ABSTRACT
Arteriovenous malformations, having direct communication between artery and vein without capillary connections, mainly locates in intracranial portion, lungs and kidneys. It has been reported that arteriovenous malformations develop mainly from trauma and that congenital arteriovenous malformations are rare in the head and neck. Acquired arteriovenous malformations mainly develops from trauma and usually have only one arteriovenous shunt, but congenital arteriovenous malformations have several arteriovenous shunts.
Authors have experienced two cases of congenital arteriovenous malformations and one case of traumatic arteriovenous malformation of auricle and reported these cases with a brief literatures review.
