요약

후두의 기능적, 기질적 질환은 음성 발성에 영향을 미친다. 음성 장애의 대부분의 원인은 기질적 질환으로 음성의 남용이나 오용에 기인한 성대 용종, 결절 등의 양성 질환이거나, 후두의 염증성 질환, 그리고 드물게 후두의 악성 질환 등이 있을 수 있다. 또한 해부학적 혹은 신경학적으로 발성 기관에 비정상적 소견 없이 기능적으로 음성 장애가 나타기도 한다.¹⁾ 과거에는 수술 외에는 별다른 치료 방법이 없다고 생각되었던 질환들이 약물치료 및 음성치료로 치료가 가능하며, 좋은 결과를 보이고 있다.
