요약

이비인후과를 방문하는 환자 중 약 10~30%가 인후두 역류증과 관련이 있으며 음성 및 후두질환 환자 중에는 절반이상이 인후두역류증과 관련이 있는 것으로 알려져 있 다.^1,2) 인후두역류증은 만성 기침, 과다 헛기침, 인후두 이 물감, 발성장애, 인후통 등의 증상을 나타내어 생활에 많은 불편을 주고 또한 급,만성 후두염, 성대 육아종, 후두협 착, 성문하협착, 재발성 후두경련, 하인두암과 후두암 등 여러 이비인후과 질환을 일으키는 요인으로 작용하므로 올바른 진단과 적절한 치료가 필요하다.³⁾ 인후두역류증의 증상은 위산에 의한 후두점막의 직접적인 손상, 점막섬모 제거기능(mucodlliary clearance)의 손상, 하부식도손상 에 의한 미주신경을 통한 방사통, 하부식도 감각신경 자극 에 의한 후두반사 등에 의하여 발생된다⁴⁾
