Abstract

The authors experienced a rare case of esophageal foreign body in a 62 year old male. He swallowed the radiolucent denture just before. His chief complaint was swallowing difficulty. But it was difficult to know the anatomy of the radiolucent denture. An irregular shaped plastic object can present problems such as esophageal perforation. Thus we have difficulty in removal of the radiolucent foreign body. Many authors have commented on the need for routine use of radio-opaque denture base resin.
