ABSTRACT

Amyloidosis results from the extracellular deposition of fibrillar amyloid protein. Primary localized amyloidosis in head and neck is rare and localized amyloidosis in the oropharynx is very rare disease among them. We have experienced a case of primary localized amyloidosis of the left lateral oropharyneal wall that treated by surgical excision. Therefore, we present a case of primary localized amyloidosis of the oropharynx with the appropriate review. (J Clinical Otolaryngol 2008;19:231-234)
