ABSTRACT

The median nasal dermoid sinus cyst is a rare congenital anomaly. Because of aberrant embryologie development, encephalocele, nasal dermoid sinus cyst, and glioma may present as a congenital nasofrontal midline mass. Dermoid cyst of the nose presents difficult management problem because of its complexity and rarity. Surgical total excision is the treatment choice for nasal dermoid sinus cyst. We report a 23-year-old woman with nasal dermoid sinus cyst who was successfully managed using the external rhinoplasty approach. (J Clinical Otolaryngol 2008;19:99–102)
