요약

바이러스 감염에 의해서 감각신경성 난청이 올 수 있다는 것은 잘 알려져 있다. 전신적인 바이러스 감염증의 경과중에 난청이 발생한다 면 이는 바이러스에 의한 것이라고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 전신적인 증상이 없이 잠행성으로 내 이에 바이러스 감염이 발생하여 난청이 오는 경우에는 이 난청의 원인이 바이러스라고 임 상적으로 단정하기는 매우 어렵다. 근래에는 원인 불명으로 분류되는 감각신경성 난청，그 중에서도 특히 급성 고도난청의 원인으로 바 이러스가 많이 주목 받고 있다¹³⁾.
