ABSTRACT
Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) describes B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas that are derived from cells of the follicular mantle zone. MCL usually begins with lymph node enlargement and can easily spread to extra nodal organs such as the marrow, liver and gastrointestinal tracts. At times it begins in a lymphocyte outside a lymph node, such as in the gastrointestinal tract. MCL is treated the same way as other aggressive B-cell lymphomas with multidrug therapy, such as ESHAP (Etoposide, Methylprednisone, Cytarabine, Cisplatin). Most mantle cell lymphoma patients treated with treatment combination chemotherapy. But, it has tendency to recur after chemotherapy and like our case, planning of chemotherapy after total surgical resection of the neck mass that could be a new way of treatment. We report this case of surgical treatment on a recurrent cervical mass after 6cycles of chemotherapy. (J Clinical Otolaryngol 2009;20:106-109)
