요약

소아의 진주종은 성인에서의 진주종 보다 활동성이 높 은 질환으로 생각되고 있으며, 수술시 높은 재발률을 고 려하여야 한다.¹⁾²⁾ 특히 소아에서 폐쇄유양동삭개술(canal wall up mastoidectomy)로 진주종의 완전한 제거는 매 우 어려우며, 이에 비해 개방유양동삭개술(canal down mastoidectomy)의 경우는 폐쇄유양동삭개술에 비해 진 주종의 제거가 용이하나 술후 공동에 의한 문제(cavity problem)가 있는 단점이 있다.
