ABSTRACT
Common ossicular injuries after head trauma are incudostapedial joint (ISJ), malleoincudal joint (MIJ), and stapes crua in the order of their frequency. ISJ injury is the most common cause and can occur isolated. Isolate MIJ injury is, however, not common and generally accompanies with ISJ injury. We experienced a case of is olated MIJ subluxation. Hearing was recovered spontaneously without surgical intervention at 6 months after injury. (J Clinical Otolaryngol 2009;20:77-80)
