ABSTRACT

Pneumoparotid is a rare cause of enlargement of the parotid gland that may result in pneumoparotitis with pain and swelling. The management of this condition is unclear and ranges from simple counseling to parotidectomy. We report a case of 6-year-old male with bilateral pneumoparotid, presenting with bilateral parotid swelling and pain. His symptoms recovered spontaneously with supportive care. In this article, we report a case of pneumoparotid with review of literatures. (J Clinical Otolaryngol 2015;26:292-296)
