요약

사람에서 기능적으로 성숙된 후각수용체신경원(Olfactory Receptor Neuron)은 중비갑개의 전중부, 비중격 의 후상부, 상비갑개 내측 및 사골의 사판에 분포하는 것 으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 최근 연구 결과는 이들 신경 원들이 중비갑개의 앞쪽 부착 부위의 상하 부위에도 분 포하는 것으로 보고하고 있다.¹⁾ 따라서 이와 같은 분포 를 보이는 후각상피와 중추후각계의 기능적 활성이 손상 될 때 후각장애를 일으킨다.²⁾
