요약

사망율(mortality) 즉, mortality rate는 라전 어(羅典語)의 mors(죽음)에서 유래된 말아다. “Man is mortal”은 生者必滅의 이치를 말하는 것으로 영고성쇠(榮枯盛衰)의 역사적 결말도 이 한 말로 표현될 것으로 믿어진다.
